A Magical Morning of Creativity and Laughter!
At Avon Cliff Care Home, the spirit of creativity and friendship took centre stage as The Avon Cliff Players, comprising our wonderful residents and companions, embarked on a journey of theatrical imagination.
The morning was filled with laughter, team work, and a touch of magic as we came together to organise our very own pantomime, ‘A Fairly Odd Fairy Story’.
In our pantomime, Princess Charlotte found herself in a precarious situation as she almost married the evil scarecrow Raggedy Rock, cleverly disguised as Prince Charming. Raggedy Rock’s evil plan involved a poisonous donut, but the plot took an unexpected turn when Princess Charlotte’s watchful maids uncovered the wicked scheme.
Fleeing into the forest, the princess found shelter with the three little pigs, who looked after her until she was joyfully reunited with her one true love, Prince Charming.
The afternoon performance was filled with musical numbers ranging from ‘She’ll Be Coming Round The Mountain’ to ‘Roll Out The Barrel.’
Every resident had on a unique role, from evil henchmen and villagers to the hilarious dame and, yes, even Prince Charming himself!
The audience was treated to quick-witted ad-libs and, of course, plenty of good-natured heckling that had us all laughing.
