Residents at Avon Cliff marked Global Recycling Day with a creative fashion show, showcasing designs from their very own “Avon Cliff Couture.”

Working in small groups, residents used a mix of recycled materials — including old costumes, cardboard, ribbon and wrapping paper — to create a complete outfit.

Derek took on the role of model for the afternoon, presenting the finished look, which drew inspiration from traditional Morris dancer costumes with a contemporary twist. Once complete, residents enjoyed a fashion parade, taking time to appreciate the detail and creativity involved. It was an engaging and imaginative way to explore sustainability together.
