“When she first moved in, she appreciated being able to make her room her own. It had been redecorated beforehand, and bringing familiar pictures and small pieces of furniture helped her settle quickly and feel comfortable in her surroundings.

“She now lives very much in her own way. She likes to keep her own routine, whether that’s spending time in her room or going into the restaurant for meals.

“There are always activities available, as well as one-to-one time, and she chooses what suits her. Her day feels like her own.

“As a family, we have always felt welcomed. Visiting is easy and relaxed, and there are pleasant spaces to spend time together, whether inside or out in the garden when the weather allows.
