Avon Reach Supports Local Families Over Easter

Residents at Avon Reach in Mudeford marked the Easter period by supporting families in the local community through a thoughtful donation to Christchurch Food Bank.

Working together with the home’s kitchen team, residents helped prepare 40 packed lunches, each including an Easter egg along with colouring activities and pencils for children. The packs were carefully assembled before being delivered to the food bank for distribution to families in need.

Resident Viv joined staff on the visit and reflected on the experience: “It’s a meaningful opportunity to give back to our community.”

The initiative brought residents together around a shared purpose, offering a practical way to support others while remaining connected to the local area.

Home Manager Ruth Wildman said: “It’s wonderful to see residents like Viv actively involved in supporting the wider community, especially at this important time of year.”
