Avon Reach Easter Competition Winner

Avon Reach marked the Easter period with a creative colouring competition in partnership with Somerford Primary School, bringing together residents and pupils through a shared celebration of art and imagination.

Children from across the school submitted a wide range of Easter egg designs, each reflecting individual creativity and effort. Residents at Avon Reach enjoyed reviewing the entries, taking time to discuss and select their favourite designs.

Following the judging, Home Manager Ruth and resident Peggy were invited to attend the school’s Friday morning celebration assembly, where pupil achievements are regularly recognised. The visit provided an opportunity to present the prize for the Easter competition.

The winning design was created by Jasmine, who received a set of art stationery to support her continued creativity.

Companion Team Leader Denise said: “It was a pleasure to be involved in such a positive community partnership. Our residents really enjoyed engaging with the children’s artwork, and it was lovely to see that connection continue through the visit to the school.”

The initiative strengthened the ongoing relationship between Avon Reach and Somerford Primary School, offering a meaningful opportunity for intergenerational engagement and shared celebration.
