Avon Reach Charity Quiz Raises Funds for All Saints Church

Residents, relatives, staff and members of the local community came together at Avon Reach for a charity quiz night that raised £554 in support of the rebuild project at All Saints Church.

The event welcomed teams from across the community for an evening of friendly competition, with eight quiz rounds covering topics including music, general knowledge, service stations and cheese.

Alongside the quiz, guests enjoyed a choice of fish and chips, sausage and chips, or a vegetarian supper. A charity bar and raffle helped boost fundraising efforts, contributing to the final total raised for the church project.

Throughout the evening, teams worked together to tackle the questions, creating a lively atmosphere filled with conversation, laughter and community spirit.

The winning team, The Confused Jills, took home a £25 prize and a bottle of prosecco, while Egg Heads received the wooden spoon award, embracing the light-hearted nature of the competition.

Companion Team Leader Denise said: “It was wonderful to see so many people come together in support of an important local cause. Residents enjoyed being part of the evening, and the support from families, friends and the wider community helped make the event such a success.”

The quiz night reflected Avon Reach’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and fundraising initiatives, while supporting a project that will help ensure All Saints Church continues to serve local people for years to come.
