A Sweet St. David’s Day Celebration

Residents celebrated St’s David’s Day with a lovely afternoon filled with traditional Welsh Cakes, bright yellow daffodils, and cheerful conversation.

The lounge looked beautiful decorated with daffodils the national flower of Wales. Bringing a real touch of spring indoors.

As everyone enjoyed their warm, freshly baked Welsh cakes, we shared some fun facts about Saint David, the patron saint of Wales. Residents learned that he was a teacher and preacher, known for his simple way of life and that his symbol is the humble leek. We also reflected on his famous words “Do the little things” which felt especially meaningful as we celebrated together.
