Mayor’s Charity Concert
On the evening of February 9th, Sylvia and Erika embarked on an enchanting musical journey at Christchurch Priory for the Mayor’s Charity Concert.
Before the concert, we indulged in a delicious meal at Pinocchio in Christchurch.
Sylvia had pizza while Erika opted for spaghetti Bolognese, both ending their meal with a comforting cup of coffee.
Once inside the concert hall, Sylvia and Erika were treated to mesmerising performances by The Christchurch and District Band and the award-winning choir, La Nova Singers, renowned for their appearances on BBC 3 and national radio.
During the interval, we had the pleasure of meeting Mayor Cllr. Vivienne Charrett, which Sylvia and Erika were over the moon about.
The second half of the concert featured special guest soloist John Starkes on the horn, along with music from beloved productions like Band of Brothers and Mary Poppins.
The evening concluded on a high note with a lively Cockney Cocktail singalong, where everyone in the priory joined in the fun, singing favourites like ‘Knees up Mother Brown’.
Sylvia and Erika were deeply moved by the beautiful performances and felt honoured to be part of the Mayor’s charity concert.
