Stewarts Garden Centre
During a welcome break in the rain, we set with off in the minibus to have a browse in Stewarts, our local garden centre.
We had a lovely leisurely browse around the giftware, toiletries, sweets and candles. Joan was particularly taken with a large teddy holding an umbrella, standing atop a glass cabinet full of ‘one of a kind’ bears – she said that she wished she had room to take them all home with her! We reached the café and after admiring the delicious-looking cakes, decided to settle for a hot drink so as not to spoil dinner. During a slow wander back through the store, we stopped to look at the flower displays – everyone was particularly enjoying the Phalaenopsis, a type of orchid, so we stopped to take a picture for our Values book to remember our trip.
