Belmore Lodge Raises £1k for Cat Rescue

Belmore Lodge recently welcomed their Charity of the Year, Lymington Cat and Kitten Rescue, for a special cheque presentation, celebrating the £1,055 raised for the local independent cat rescue throughout 2025.
Residents and staff were treated to an adorable visit from the charity’s kitten, Bella — named in honour of Belmore Lodge — before presenting the cheque.

The charity’s owners were “beyond happy” and described the contribution as a wonderful surprise, reflecting the generosity of everyone involved.
As a small independent rescue, funds like these are essential, supporting vet care, food, and plans for a larger premises. The partnership also holds a personal connection for the home, as some residents and staff have previously adopted kittens through the charity.

Companionship Team Leader Sharon said, “It’s been a real pleasure to support such a local charity. Seeing residents connect with Bella and knowing the difference our fundraising makes has been incredibly rewarding. We look forward to welcoming them — and their kittens — back to the home in the future.”
