An Afternoon on Southampton Water

Residents from Belmore Lodge set off for a gentle afternoon on the Alison McGregor boat, departing from Hythe.
After an early lunch at the home, the group travelled to Hythe Marina Village and boarded for their first trip on the water.
The boat cruised around Southampton Water, passing some of the enormous ships that use the port and making their own vessel feel delightfully small by comparison. Tea, coffee and biscuits were served on board as residents took in the view and watched the busy harbour from the comfort of their seats. It was a calm and thoroughly enjoyable way to spend the afternoon.
