Celebrating American Independence Day

At Belmore Lodge, we had a wonderful Summer BBQ celebration on American Independence Day with a fun country and western theme.

All the staff were invited to dress up, and many of us joined in, creating a lively and festive atmosphere. We kicked off the day with dancing and took plenty of memorable photos together.

Due to the rain, our talented Chef Andy cooked the delicious BBQ food outside and then brought it into the dining room, ensuring we still enjoyed a fantastic meal. The food was a hit with everyone, and we had a great time bonding and sharing stories during the meal.

In the afternoon, we had a special musical treat as one of our resident’s son and daughter-in-law, who are professional singers, entertained us with Country and Western-style songs. They had amazing talent, and we all sang along and danced to the catchy tunes. Brenda’s daughter-in-law, Laurie, even had a remarkable connection to Johnny Cash, having been his backing singer and toured with him in Germany.

The residents and staff thoroughly enjoyed the entire day, and we were grateful for the opportunity to dress up and celebrate together. It was a heart-warming and memorable celebration that brought smiles and joy to everyone at Belmore Lodge.
