Dog Show

Belmore Lodge hosted a Dog Show and Fun Day to raise money for our nominated Charity for this year “The Dogs Trust”.

We were very lucky with the weather on the day as the rain held off and it kept dry for the whole day. Our Garden was decorated with balloons, bunting and posters all in black and yellow which is The Dogs Trust colours. We had a representative from the charity come along with merchandise to sell and we had a stall which had cakes that the chef had made and people had donated, along with some sweet cones and popcorn in bags to sell.

We had a tombola stall which had donated prizes from Staff and resident’s families and a Raffle prize of “Basket of Booze” which we started selling raffle tickets a few days before the event.

In the afternoon we had an Afternoon Tea with scones, jam and cream. We also had one of our residents daughters who is a professional singer sing songs from the shows to entertain us. The residents all agreed that they had a lovely day and we managed to raise £283 for the Charity which we were very pleased about and so was the charity.
