Sensory Exploration Session

2 April 2026

Belmore Lodge recently introduced a new sensory-based activity, designed to encourage engagement through touch and discussion.

Residents explored a range of materials presented in glove-shaped sensory cards, using touch to identify different textures before discussing their observations together.

The session encouraged curiosity and conversation throughout, with residents sharing their thoughts and working through the different sensory prompts at their own pace.

The activity provided a calm, interactive setting that supported sensory engagement and social interaction.
