Colten Care Hosts Forest Holme Hospice Volunteer Celebration

Colten Care was proud to host Forest Holme Hospice Charity’s annual Volunteer Celebration at their Bourne View Care Home, recognising the dedication and commitment of the hospice’s volunteers.
The event, held in partnership with Room to Reward, celebrated six exceptional individuals with Hidden Heroes Awards, acknowledging the significant and sustained contributions they make to the Poole-based hospice. Guests enjoyed an afternoon tea featuring homemade cakes, followed by an insightful talk from former AFC Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn, who highlighted the vital role volunteers play: “Volunteers are big cogs in a small organisation – never underestimate your value.”

Joe Langtree from Room to Reward presented the awards, offering a free hotel stay anywhere in the UK to each recipient, as a token of appreciation for their inspirational work. Many of the volunteers have turned personal experiences into a positive impact, giving back to the hospice that once supported their loved ones.
Colten Care Marketing Manager Laura said: “It was a privilege to host the Hidden Heroes Awards at Bourne View. Supporting Forest Holme Hospice builds on our ongoing community partnerships and reflects our commitment to giving back to local charities. We were delighted to provide a welcoming space to celebrate the remarkable contributions of these volunteers.”

Forest Holme Hospice Charity CEO, Hannah O’Hare, added: “Our volunteers are at the heart of the hospice community, and their commitment makes a meaningful difference every day. We are especially grateful to Colten Care for hosting the celebration and for their continued support of our work.”
The celebration showcased the strong community connections between Colten Care and Forest Holme Hospice, reinforcing the importance of recognising and celebrating those who give so generously of their time.
