A Musical Morning

This morning, Woodpeckers residents were joined by our Music & Arts partner Fiona, who led our vocal group.  

Our residents started off by warming up their voices with some vocal exercises in preparation for singing and reading poetry. 

They enjoyed reading as a group from a book called ‘Now We Are Sixty’ by Christopher Matthew, and there were huge smiles as they recited the poem ‘Sir John’s Fancy.’ 

We also sang a mixture of songs including Waltzing Matilda, Morning Has Broken, and Paddy McGinty’s Goat before practicing lines for our Summer Panto.
