Alpaca Fun

Residents were delighted to meet alpacas, Sandy and Grey this week. 

The 3-year-old alpacas put a smile on everyone’s faces and everyone had the chance to stroke their soft coats and say hello. 

We found out some interesting facts, too… did you know alpacas make a humming sound when they are happy, curious, nervous, or bored? And no wonder their coats feel so soft – they are a mixture of wool and silk! 

We had a great day with the alpacas and are hoping to have them visit again soon.
