Chinese New Year

We had a lot of fun celebrating Chinese New Year. 

Margaret, who grew up in China, showed us how to write her name in Chinese and shared memories of her celebrations from China. She also taught us how to say ‘Happy Chinese New Year’ in Chinese. 

The other residents and team members had a go at writing their names in Chinese, too, with Companion Pauline’s help. 

We rounded off the day by sharing fortune cookies. David particularly liked the message he received: ‘Today Is a lucky day for those who remain cheerful and optimistic.’
