Coffee and Cake

This afternoon, we headed out for a country drive. 

It was a beautiful day… and surprisingly warm for this time of year! We stopped off at Chilton Manor Farm which has recently opened a new café; it’s also the home of Moon Roast Coffee. We couldn’t resist sampling the freshly roasted and ground coffee, with a piece of homemade fruity flapjack on the side.

We sat in the sunshine while Frances entertained us with stories about the adventures she’d had while travelling with her family. The other residents listened intently, and afterwards Auriol commented that they were some of the most interesting stories she had heard.
