National Candy Day

During their bi-weekly visit, St Peter’s School joined residents for a trip to St Catherines very own ‘Ye Old Sweet Shop’ to celebrate National Candy Day.

Residents and children enjoyed a playful role reversal, with the children dressed in Victorian costume serving jars of traditional sweets.

Old-fashioned one-pound notes, printed by the Companionship team, allowed residents to choose a striped bag filled with their favourite treats, while the children went home with a bag of sweets of their own.

Laughter, conversation, and shared delight filled the afternoon, creating a wonderful intergenerational experience for all.
