Friendship Day Acts of Kindness in Poole

At Bourne View, our care home in Poole, residents celebrated International Friendship Day not just within our home, but out in the wider community.
In a heartwarming gesture, four residents, Wendy Barnes, Margaret Taylor, Mary Cadby and Christine Lorimar, took minibus trips to Sandbanks and Poole Park where they handed out handcrafted Friendship Day postcards and posies of flowers to members of the public.

Inside the home, postcards were also exchanged between residents and staff, with some gathering in the dining room to read their messages aloud. The thoughtful notes sparked conversations about the meaning of friendship and the connections that shape our lives.
These simple yet meaningful gestures brought people together and captured the true spirit of Friendship Day, reminding us how small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
