Tessa Celebrates Her 90th Birthday at Bournemouth Oceanarium

Bourne View resident Tessa celebrated her 90th birthday with a special day out to Bournemouth seafront and the Oceanarium, enjoying sunshine, seaside views and an opportunity to get up close to some fascinating marine life.

Tessa was joined by three fellow residents, Companion Richard and minibus driver Corine for the outing. The group began with a picnic lunch overlooking the sea from Bournemouth Pier before heading to the Oceanarium.

Inside, residents enjoyed discovering the variety of marine life, from playful penguins and busy otters to magnificent sharks and graceful manta rays.

Tessa was particularly delighted to see the animals up close and enjoyed the opportunity to feed some of the fish, adding an extra special touch to her birthday celebration.

Companionship Team Leader Natasha said: “It was lovely to celebrate such a special birthday with Tessa and see how much she enjoyed the day. The Oceanarium was a wonderful choice, and it was fantastic to see everyone getting involved and enjoying the experience together.”
