Drive to Compton Valence

On a bright, crisp morning, residents set off on a minibus trip to the Dorset village of Compton Valence, wrapped up warm in coats and scarves.
The journey began with a surprise celebration as Companion Corinne’s birthday decorations sparked an impromptu singalong of Happy Birthday — twice!
Along the way, residents spotted sheep, cows, snowdrops, and early daffodils, sharing stories and smiles. Lunch in the village hall featured warming carrot and coriander soup and homemade cakes, much enjoyed by all. On the return, Wendy requested a drive through Poundbury, spotting its interesting architecture in the winter sunlight.
It was a cheerful and memorable day, full of laughter, conversation, and the simple joys of being out together.
