A Busy Morning in Canopy Café
It was time for our monthly breakfast club.
We held it in the beautiful Canopy Café, where we shared good news stories. We also reminisced about our school days and looked up our old primary schools online – sharing photos and anecdotes. Next, it was time for one of our favourite relaxing morning activities, ‘Arty Ideas.’
We used templates of trees to create our masterpieces. Chris and Joan added leaves with cotton buds dipped into watercolours. Everyone chose autumnal colours for their palette and Irene experimented with a different technique: sponge-painting the leaves on first, then drawing the tree into the picture.
A very productive morning with beautiful works of art to show for it! Next month’s breakfast club will be on 8th October, where we again share a continental breakfast ‘family style’ and find positive stories to start the day with.
