Baking Scones

We wanted to try our hand at some baking this week, and the fun began before we’d even got the ingredients ready. 

As soon as it was decided we would bake scones, discussion started about pronunciation and whether the jam or cream goes on first! 

It was all in good fun and everyone enjoyed combining the ingredients and experimenting by adding cherries and sultanas.  

Once we had cleared the table, there was enough time for a few quick rounds of our favourite games: ‘Best of British’ and 20 Questions, before lunch. 

Residents got to savour their hard work later in the afternoon, enjoying the scones with a lovely cup of tea – and lots of compliments from other residents!
