Boxing Day Fun

Boxing Day was actioned packed with fun, with competitive activities throughout the day. 

We started with team games in the morning including a festive take on ‘Beetle Drive’ called ‘Roll-a Snowman,’ followed by some quick-fire thinking in a categories game and then a Christmas Carols Quiz. Before lunch, residents gathered in reception where we looked at Christmas traditions around the world and sang the twelve days of Christmas.  

In the afternoon, it was time to trial some new games including Raise the Stakes, Off Limits, and Bigger Taller Smaller, before taking on a Mexican Christmas tradition… a Pinata! Residents took turns to try and release the sweets, but to no avail, so it was over to the staff who finally succeeded. The sweets were shared by all and then we settled down to watch the new Wallace and Gromit adventure before supper: an incredibly good day indeed!
