Christmas Gala
Our sparkling black-tie Gala was a resounding success, with residents and guests relishing a delectable dinner in beautifully decorated surroundings, followed by a special performance from the very popular Swingin’ Sinatra!
It was a glittering event where everyone had dressed to impress; the ladies looked beautiful, and the gentlemen were resplendent in suits or blazers.
With so many people to accommodate this year, the tables spilled out from the dining room into our reception area. Above, looking over from the first-floor balcony, staff gathered to congregate and watch the festivities – they joined in the singing and contributed to the happy, party atmosphere.
Our chefs outdid themselves with each course, and residents were delighted with their meals – Irene praised the ‘saffron sauce’ in particular. Terry could not resist getting up to dance with help from Gemma and Sherry, and the raffle and entry fees raised a massive £500 for our chosen charity: Dorset Cancer Care Foundation.
Seeing our residents all together, enjoying the event, sitting with their friends and guests, and also sparking new friendships at the tables was a heart-warming sight.
Conversations flowed around the rooms, there were smiles on all their faces, and it really was a night to remember!
