Denim for Dementia Day

Residents at Bourne View enjoyed a thoughtful and creative afternoon marking Denim Day, raising awareness of dementia together.
The group worked collaboratively to create a striking piece of wall art – a denim horse – using fabrics, lace and decorative materials.
Wendy carefully cut the horse shape from denim, while others helped prepare pieces for the mane. Set against a soft beige background, the blue denim stood out beautifully. As the artwork took shape, the room was filled with conversation and laughter, with residents sharing stories about clothing and fabrics from years gone by. By the end of the session, the finished piece was proudly displayed, a reflection of teamwork and creativity.
