Dominoes

On a chilly Monday afternoon in March, a large group of us gathered to enjoy a game of dominoes, which has become one of Bourne View’s favourite activities.

The Cotton Club served as the venue, and we had to set up three tables to accommodate the 14 residents who arrived to play. Each table had a “score keeper,” who was either a family member, a Colten Companion, or a pupil from Canford School, who visits for work experience.

This is a crucial role as many of our residents are highly competitive. Although we did not offer prizes on this occasion, the personal satisfaction of achieving first, second, or third place is highly valued and is always a topic of discussion over dinner.
