Scrabble Tournament
We always enjoy borrowing the Giant Scrabble Board from our sister home, Amberwood House.
But this time, we decided to make it even more exciting by inviting some of their residents to join us. Five residents from Amberwood House came over for a friendly competition, and we were delighted to have them explore our home and share a delicious lunch with us.
In the afternoon, we formed four teams, with two teams representing each home. We had prizes for the highest overall score and the highest individual word. It was truly amazing to see words of various lengths, from two to six letters, scattered across the board.
Surprisingly, it was a four-letter word that stole the show with an impressive score of 57 points. The word ‘SKIFF’ landed on a triple word score, multiplying its value by three to achieve the remarkable total.
Everyone had a fantastic time, and the friendly rivalry between the homes added to the excitement.
We’re looking forward to the next match, where Amberwood House will host, hoping to secure a victory on their home turf, just like Bourne View did this time.
