Summer Soiree With our friends

Bourne View and our sister homes in Poole and Bournemouth, Canford Chase, and Avon Cliff have recently been collaborating with Fiona, Colten Care’s Music & Arts Partner.

We are going to put together a range of songs inspired by our favourite pastimes, including hits by Rod Stewart and a beautiful song written by residents to the tune of “My Favourite Things.” Residents have been practicing for several months across the three homes, and today, they came together at Bourne View to perform those songs, creating perfect harmonies.

Fiona accompanied the residents on guitar and led them in a cappella singing. However, the highlight was Bourne View’s resident, Myrtle, who accompanied most of the songs on the piano! We had such a special afternoon, which was topped off with a beautiful afternoon tea.

Next week, we will be performing at Canford Chase for their residents, and we are all looking forward to it.
