World Music Day Celebrations

To celebrate World Music Day, we spent a lovely hour before lunch talking about and watching clips from the movie ‘The Sound of Music.’

We shared our favourite things from the film and remembered special moments it reminded us of. Wendy mentioned how the movie came out when her children were born and how she once visited the place where it was set, Saltzburg.

We enjoyed the familiar songs and decided to watch the whole movie together again soon. It was a fun way to celebrate the day and appreciate the magic of music.

To mark World Music Day, we spent a lovely hour before lunch re-telling the ‘Sound of Music’ story, and reminiscing over our ‘Favourite Things’ and watching clips of the songs from the film – Wendy remembered the film coming out near the birth of her children and also, she remembered visiting Saltzburg. The familiar songs reminded us of many special moments in this much-loved film – we are planning to watch The Sound of Music one more time soon.
