Our Partnerships at Bourne View

Langside School & Diverse Abilities

We are proud of our partnership with our neighbour, Langside School. The school is run by a Dorset charity, Diverse Abilities, and specialises in educating children with multiple learning disabilities and complex medical needs.

So far, we have given the exterior a bright and vibrant paint job. We transformed the white exterior of Langside school to bold blue, green and yellow. Langside School has also benefited from new landscaping and a contribution towards an improved sensory room for pupils. We also sponsor Diverse Abilities Christmas Carol Concerts which many of our residents attend.

In October, Langside School turned 60 years old. We hosted a birthday party at Bourne View for, Langside students, Langside staff and supporters, who all enjoyed a wonderful evening filled with delicious food, music and company. Our residents joined in all the fun too. To read the full story CLICK HERE.

We look forward to keeping you updated on how this exciting new partnership evolves.

West Hants Club

The West Hants Club

We have teamed up with The West Hants Club in a move that will also support talented youngsters seeking to play sport at higher levels. This partnership allows residents across multiple of our sister homes access to a premier Bournemouth sports club steeped in tennis history. To promote wider understanding of fitness and wellbeing in later life, Colten Care’s clinical experts will host presentations for club members on aspects of elderly care and health. The partnership was launched with a visit by residents from our sister home, Avon Cliff in Bournemouth. It coincided with the 50th anniversary of West Hants staging the first ‘open era’ tennis tournament, widely seen as paving the way towards the global, professional sport tennis is now.
