A Housewarming Celebration at Braemar Lodge

On Wednesday 19th February, Braemar Lodge hosted a memorable housewarming party to mark the completion of its new Reception area.
The preparations began early, with staff moving and arranging furniture, filling balloons with helium, and preparing posters to highlight the day’s offerings.
The Reception, chosen for its bright and welcoming atmosphere, was transformed into the perfect party venue. With ample space, stylish décor, and stunning lighting, the area became the ideal hub for the afternoon’s celebrations. Guests were greeted with a delicious array of savoury and sweet canapés, complemented by glasses of Prosecco. A local favourite, Hamlet Peters, provided live music, adding a special touch to the event.

The highlight of the day was the cutting of a beautifully decorated cake, made in shades of pale blue and white royal icing. Resident Douglas Parish had the honour of cutting the ribbon to officially mark the occasion.
Residents, families, and staff were all in high spirits as they gathered to celebrate. The afternoon was filled with lively conversation, music, and laughter. Many residents joined in with the songs, while others enjoyed the chance to chat with friends and staff.

Chief Operating Officer of Colten Care, along with other staff, took the time to speak with guests, showing appreciation for the community atmosphere of the event.
As the afternoon drew to a close, residents, their families, and staff shared their enjoyment of the party, with many commenting on the wonderful food, drinks, and overall atmosphere.
The housewarming party not only marked the completion of a new chapter at Braemar Lodge but also celebrated the hard work and dedication of the entire team who made the move possible. It was a fitting tribute to the efforts of everyone involved, and a day that will be remembered by all who attended.
