"I love my job! Gardening is my passion and what I trained to do. I get to be outside in the fresh air, creating and watching the garden evolve each year. I cannot imagine having a day without being able to be outside.
I also get to share this with our residents, some of whom are keen gardeners and like to help out and share their knowledge and gardening experiences. Others just like to have a chat or enjoy the garden with friends, family or on their own.
The garden is constantly evolving with ideas and suggestions from our residents. We have areas for growing fruit and veg, cut flowers for the home, wildlife friendly areas and a lovely new woodland walk. The therapeutic benefits of gardening are well known and it is a pleasure to help provide and share this with all who visit our gardens. We have an active garden club where residents are involved in everything from growing plants, to arranging flowers, to making bug houses for the garden!"
