We were invited to South Wilts Grammar School – our neighbour school – for a musical concert.
Ten residents, plus staff and family members were warmly welcomed by the students. The girls were interested in each person, served us a range of lovely refreshments, and were happy to talk about their schooling experiences with us. The Junior Choir entertained us with a range of beautiful songs and carols, followed by a range of soloists – singers, a flautist, cellist and pianists. Finally, there was a singalong, led by the Enrichment Choir made up of sixth-form students. The residents were impressed with their musical talent and the huge effort they had all made. It was such a joyful event, and so wonderful to be able, once again, to engage fully with our local community, for the first Christmas in three years.
