Ems Friendly Farm

Ems Friendly Farm paid us a visit at Braemar Lodge, bringing along a delightful array of animals.

Cookie the pig, 8-week-old Pygmy goats Ant and Dec, 10-month-old sheep Dave, and pony Merrylegs captured the attention of our residents. Some chose to stroke the animals while others enjoyed watching their playful antics.

The farm owners were on hand to answer many interesting questions about the different breeds, engaging all of our senses – smelling, touching, looking, and listening. Although we didn’t get to taste any of the animals, one resident was curious to know if Cookie would be used for bacon, but the answer was a firm no!
