Giant Scrabble Evening – Residents vs Staff

Our residents enjoy a bit of competition here at Braemar Lodge. So, we thought it would be a fun idea that, as they love playing Scrabble frequently, we would hold an evening competition – residents verses staff!

The residents made very swift progress, at one point moving fifty points ahead. The staff team, comprising of Home Manager Jackie Cash and Companionship Team Leader Graham Ballard, had a job to catch up!

After two hours the staff managed to gradually draw alongside, and then with a burst of high scoring words, move out in front. The residents never let up, chasing us all the way to the end finishing using up all their tiles first.

Only 30 points separated the teams at the end, but the story is not over; there will no doubt be a rematch soon!
