Mince pie making

We decided to have a Christmas baking afternoon, and mince pies were the order of the day.

Several residents joined in with making pastry, rolling it out and cutting the shapes, followed by filling them with mincemeat (we cheated and didn’t make our own…) before popping them in the oven. Everyone had their own ideas about the best way to make mince pies and shared their opinions, whilst we waited for them to cook! After they were cooked and cooled, we enjoyed them with a cuppa, and shared them with other residents.
