Supporting A Super Cause

We had a surprise visit from one of our Home Manager’s nursing friends, Sue, this morning – they have been friends for over 30 years!

Sue, a Community Nurse at local Leisure Centre Five Rivers, has been battling cancer and had decided to take the plunge and volunteer to run the London Marathon in 2026.

She explained her journey to residents over a coffee in Reception and has told us she has raised over £1,400 for Cancer Research to date!

Amazed at her resilience and good heart, some of our residents have pledged to donate to such a good cause. We wish Sue the very best in her endeavours and look forward to hearing how she fared, once she completes the race on 26^th April next year.
