Theatre Trip

22 April 2023

We recently took a trip to Salisbury Playhouse to see a matinee performance of Brief Encounter, and it was a truly special afternoon.

It was the first time in a few years that we were able to attend our local theatre, and our residents were thrilled to have the opportunity. Noël Coward’s screenplay for the 1945 film was brought to life with musical accompaniment, songs, and comedic moments.

The talented cast even took on multiple roles, necessitating swift costume changes. After the play, we had the pleasure of meeting some of the cast in the theatre foyer. It was their final day of performances in Salisbury before moving on to Ipswich.

The Playhouse staff were extremely helpful, ensuring that we had everything we needed, including audio equipment for those who required it. Our residents were overjoyed to experience the excitement of the theatre once again, and it was a wonderful social occasion.
