Time in the garden
In between light showers of rain, some residents enjoyed spending the morning in our lovely gardens here.
Staff accompanied residents individually or in small groups around the grounds, and residents shared their horticultural knowledge with Latin names of plants, discussions on the hues and shapes of plants, and enjoying some peas picked and eaten straight from the pod – very sweet! There was some deadheading to be done, picking out some weeds, and Pam spent time taking off leaves that were blocking the sunshine from the growing tomatoes and cucumbers. Our garden is very special to many of our residents, and we make the most of it when we can – rain or shine!
