Brook View Residents Enjoy ‘Musical Surprise’ Concert

Residents at Brook View were treated to an afternoon of live music as staff and residents alike stepped into the spotlight for a special “Musical Surprise” concert.
The programme opened with familiar faces, as Companion Keanu performed jazz guitar pieces before being joined by fellow Companion Jo for a flute and guitar duet. Both have performed at the home before and were warmly received.

But the surprises soon began. Home Manager Abhi took to the floor to sing for residents — his first time performing in front of them — while resident Stuart, who spent many years in the entertainment industry, returned to the stage with a solo performance.
The final surprise came from waitress Olivia, who shared her singing talent for the first time. She later joined Keanu and Jo for a closing ensemble piece that rounded off the concert.

Resident Noreen, who made a point of thanking each performer individually, said the event reminded her of her father’s days playing in a band.
Companionship Team Leader Claudia said: “It was wonderful to see so many people come together and share their talents. The mix of familiar faces and unexpected performers made the afternoon really special, and the residents’ reactions showed just how much it meant to them.”
