Blooming Bouquets

Residents at Brook View joined in with a floristry lesson this afternoon, led by our very own florist, Lauren Challis.

You usually see Lauren behind our front desk, but today she shared her passion for wedding bouquets. Armed with beautiful and fragrant flowers from our garden, residents set about creating their own floral displays, which can now be seen throughout the home.

Barbara Phillips, who used to tend to her church flowers weekly, said, “It was lovely to create a floral display again; I feel that I still have all the skills.”

Iona Midlane said, “I am astonished that this beautiful bouquet has come from our garden; there is so much variety, and the room is filled with the most wonderful scents.”
