Group Physio – Balance & Strength

Residents of Brook View have been incredibly lucky to receive personalised physio classes by our two physio students, Katy & Kirsty.

Every Tuesday and Thursday we have been coming together as a group and practising our balance and strength techniques. Balance and stretch are especially important for our core muscles and in time can prevent falls.

The ladies get everyone warmed up before we pass objects to each other to work on our stretches, we play balloon tennis which works out muscles we do not always use.

Everyone says how much of a difference these exercises have on their sleep pattern and their wellbeing. “I enjoy these classes and feel that if I don’t keep moving, I may lose my independence” exclaimed Paula! Gwen says – “Kirsty & Katy make these sessions fun, I enjoy the balloon tennis at the end.”
