Ice Cream at Poole Harbour

Resident Tony spoke about wanting to visit Poole Harbour: a favourite spot he and his wife, Pam, have visited over the years.

So, this week, we arranged a visit – complete with an ice cream pit stop at The Quay café. Resident Jean said of her raspberry ripple: ‘That was the best ice cream I have had in a long time!”

Linda added: “Delicious!” of her mint choc chip ice cream, while Tony put his thumbs up for his rum and raisin!

Tony was also able to share some fun facts with us about the Harbour: like details of how smuggling was carried out in the 18th and 19th centuries.

A lovely morning reminiscing, learning new facts, plus a delicious treat too!
