Macmillan Coffee Morning

The morning at Brook View was exceptionally bustling as residents and staff hosted their Macmillan Coffee Morning.

The reception area was adorned with vibrant decorations courtesy of the companionship team, creating a warm welcome for our resident families and friends. In keeping with the well-recognised Macmillan colours, staff donned bright green and purple attire.

Our talented chef, Jack, prepared a delightful array of cupcakes, and there was an exciting moment when our resident, Harry, was surprised by a visit from his granddaughter, Hannah.

Hannah, accompanied by her partner, Leigh, made her donation for the coffee morning. Shortly thereafter, to her amazement, Hannah discovered that she had won the ‘golden’ cupcake! The Brook View staff erupted in cheers as they presented her with a bottle of bubbles. “What a lovely surprise!” exclaimed Hannah.

Initially, she hadn’t realised there was a golden cupcake and was puzzled by what she had found in the middle of her frosted cake!
