MCS Cruise Talk

Our residents had a lovely afternoon with a long-awaited visit from guest speaker, Alfred Saunders.

Alfred is training to become a Cruise Liner Deck Officer with MSC, which is an Italian cruise company. Alfred is the stepson of companion Jo and through her, the residents have been able to follow Alfred’s career from the beginning. Having now completed his first six months at sea, he was able to provide a slide show of photographs from different places he has visited, such as France, Belgium, Morocco and Portugal, along with an interesting narrative of life on board MSC Virtuosa, which is the fifth largest ship on the sea at this time. A huge laugh was raised when Alfred had a chat with resident Valerie, and she coyly asked if he was married! The moment produced a lovely photograph
