Norman’s Wish

Today, we granted a wish for our resident Norman.

Norman used to spend a lot of time on boats as it was his hobby and expressed how he would like to be on a boat again. After learning about his interest in boats, our Companion team organised a day trip to Poole Quay to visit The Friends of Dolphin who provide boat trips around Brownsea Island and Poole Harbour.

We were lucky to have clear blue skies and sunshine as Norman and other residents enjoyed the boat trip.

Our residents saw many interesting things including Brownsea Castle, a seal and a recreation of Christopher Columbus’s ship the Santa Maria. Norman commented that he really enjoyed the boat ride and was happy that the water was calm.
