Scarecrow Season

Brook View is proud to present our father and son duo, fishermen scarecrows.

Over the past year, we have been visited by some naughty herons who have a taste for the fish in our pond. So, Companion Jo came up with the idea of diligent fishermen.

We wanted to be environmentally conscious: everything was donated, recycled, or bought from charity shops. Pam and Trevor’s sons donated their fishing equipment and waders to add the finishing touches.

We even made a giant toadstool to complete the scene. It was a labour of love, but very rewarding as the herons have certainly been put off! We hope everyone loves them as much as we do.
